“Don’t hate us cuz we’re beautiful, ” said these blooms.
Judging by their Instagram feed, we always imagined that the BloomThat team spent all day long in peaceful gardens full of sunshine and butterflies, snipping blooms to arrange into their simply gorgeous bouquets.
In reality, the Bloom Crew has built out a warehouse in SF’s Dogpatch as their floral workshop on steroids, and hustles to make hundreds of seasonally-sourced bouquets by hand every day.
And it’s all in the name of “empowering thoughtfulness” by making it so damn simple to send your nearest and dearest gorgeous blooms.
That mission’s near and dear to our heart, so with spring in the air, we decided to team up to make an ice cream-inspired bouquet called “The Sophie” and included one of our too-cute wooden nickels as a little extra treat. She sold out in just over a day, and we got to send some ice cream love all around the Bay Area. Lucky us!
A week later, we powered through some mild seasonal allergies (thanks, Claritin) to help put on the very first BloomBar at BloomThat HQ. Members of the Bloom Crew helped guests DIY their own seasonal bouquets, all while sipping on some bubbles and noshing on mini Cookie Dough Ice Cream Sandwiches. (Yes, they do exist.)
It was an evening to remember – and we’ve got the photo booth evidence to prove it. No, we’re not sharing.
