Holding fast to our annual New Year’s resolution to EAT MORE ICE CREAM!
With 2016 in the rear view mirror, we’re getting down to business in our kitchen with our New Year’s resolution on the brain. Since so many folks this time of year are detoxing from the gluttony of the holiday season, we (finally) listened to the little angel on our shoulder and developed an ice cream flavor that fits the part.
The result? We’ve churned up a flavor so full of the good stuff you won’t even think twice about indulging – even if it’s not your cheat day.
We’re calling it Breakfast for Dessert, and it actually isn’t ice cream at all – it’s 100% organic Greek yogurt! And we’ve teamed up with our friends at Straus Family Creamery to make sure you’re getting the cream of the yogurt crop.
Founded in 1994 by Albert Straus as the first organically certified creamery in the U.S., Straus Family Creamery supports our local food system by manufacturing and selling only organic dairy products sourced from certified organic, family-owned farms in Sonoma and Marin counties. Pretty sweet, right?
Mixed in to this flavor is what we’ve lovingly been calling “bird food”, but rest assured – it’s damn tasty for human palates as well. A crunchy blend of pumpkin seeds, black sesame seeds, rolled oats, and coconut oil, this mix-in gives the tart scoop a little texture and a whole lot of flavor. Topped off with a dollop of just-sweet-enough fig jam, Breakfast for Dessert is a guiltless indulgence that we’re eating around the clock.
Find your closest scoop shop to get a taste of Breakfast for Dessert now through January 23rd, and whet your appetite with this teaser video!
For those of you keeping strong with your own resolution, we’re here for you. And for those of you who are resolution-less, we recommend ordering a cone, stat.
