Wowzers, what a year so far!  2020 has slapped us in the face, tested our resilience, proved the power of compassion, cemented our belief in togetherness and pushed us to continue to evolve and rise to the challenge.

I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the past 6 months and to express my sincere gratitude to all of you who have shown your support, Smitten kinship, patience and love.  Your visits to our shops, your virtual hugs and high-fives on social media, your support of our new National Shipping platform (best gift to your loved ones, eh!? :), your choice of Smitten pints over other brands at the grocery store — this is what keeps us going, keeps us shining and keeps our tight-knit team employed and passionate about what we do.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for enabling Smitten to survive, adapt and double down on our commitment to spread joy during this beyond-challenging time for all. Furthermore, thank you for your understanding when we have had to close our doors spontaneously due to bad air quality and/or intolerable heat.

I also want to give a HUGE shout-out to my amazing team, my Smitten family really.  From shelter-in-place to the devastating California fires that are upon us now, my teammates across the Bay Area — from San Jose, to Oakland, to San Francisco — have bound together as a unified group, put health and humanity first, looked after each other and gone above and beyond every step of the way.  This team has SO MUCH pizzazz, entrepreneurial spirit, grit and commitment to each other and our Smitten mission that it brings tears to my eyes.

We are a small business that prides itself on being there for you and exists because of you.  Thank you for being our ‘raison d’etre’!
